Namaste – I Bow To You
The gesture of Namaste – the clasping of hands in prayer mudra at the heart chakra and bowing (sometimes saying the word “Namaste”) is an recognition that you believe there is a divine spark which resides in all beings, and which you acknowledge and see. It is an ancient Sanskrit word commonly used as a mark of mutual respect. It is often also translated as “the spirit in me sees the spirit in you”.
This simple and elegant pendant is made from your choice of 100% recycled copper, silver or 9ct Gold and is hand stamped with the word Namaste.
Inside the hand-formed circle is a delicate wire-wrapped lotus flower, incorporating a yogi in prayer mudra. There is a tiny spiral at the centre of the piece which, in my culture (I am Ngai Tahu Maori of Aotearoa, New Zealand) is a koru and represents hope and new beginnings. Similarly, the lotus flower symbolizes purity, enlightenment and new beginnings as the Lotus must grow in the mud in order to flower in all it’s glory.
Your pendant measures approximately 3cm in diameter (2 1/4 inches) and comes with a solid sterling silver chain measuring 45cm (18 inches)
