When shopping for kids lunch boxes there are a number of things to consider. Some kids lunch boxes contain PVC, Phthalates or BPA which have been shown to leach into food in some circumstances and are probably best avoided. An insulated lunch box or insulated lunch bag makes a good choice as they keep food fresher and safer for longer especially in summer months. Kids can be pretty tough on lunch boxes; apparently they think they are also a seat, something to stand on or kick around the playground! So, durability is certainly something else to consider – a stainless steel lunch box whilst initially more expensive should give many years of trouble free service even with “heavy” use.
