Neem Oil can't protect you from sweat or dust, but it can prevent your skin from drying out. Everybody who has done a little reading about Neem knows that this oil is a great emollient, and is especially recommended for dry skin.

But Neem does more than that… 

Neem has a broad range of beneficial effects on skin. This makes it one of the better treatments for eczema. Neem moisturises and protects the skin while it helps heal the lesions, scaling and irritation. It is cooling on the affected areas. Neem does not have the same side effects as prescribed medications and injections nor does it cause liver damage. It is probably the best and safest alternative for treating eczema and psoriasis. Neem oil offers moisturising, regenerative and restructuring properties to dry and damaged skin. 


Nimbidin and nimbin are two anti-inflammatory compounds that are found in Neem oil, which help to relieve swelling and redness. A third is Quercetin, which is well known as a compound that supports the body’s ability to respond to inflammation by inhibiting both the manufacture and release of histamine and other irritants.

Emollients are what dermatologists often recommend for eczema. Substances that fill the gaps and cracks in the skin, prevent moisture loss, and restore the protective barrier. Since Neem is especially high in important fatty acids and vitamin E and can quickly penetrate outer layers of skin, it is extremely effective in healing dry and damaged skin. Its strong antiseptic properties will also help to keep bacteria and secondary skin infections at bay.

Neem is also a strong analgesic (pain killer). Some people report instant relief from their excruciating discomfort, as soon as they apply Neem oil or cream to eczema skin.
An added bonus is that Neem is antibacterial, and can clean up any secondary infections, or even better, prevent them from happening in the first place!
In short, on top of moisturizing eczema skin, Neem can do many of the things that steroid creams, antibiotics and antihistamines do, but Neem doesn't have any of the side effects.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
